Senior Associate

Company Description Hoffman Legal is a business litigation and appellate boutique offering high quality, professional legal services to business and individuals. Typical cases involve business divorce, breaches of contract, business torts, fraud, and other civil litigation matters. We also have a robust appellate practice. Role Description The Senior Associate will support and lead litigation matters, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and preparing for hearings, depositions, and trial. This full-time, on-site role in Phoenix, AZ involves working closely with partners and other team members to develop case strategies, evaluate risk, and provide clear, practical advice to clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing complex fact patterns, reviewing documents and evidence, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, and supervising junior associates and staff where appropriate. The Senior Associate will be expected to take ownership of case workstreams, contribute to business development efforts, and maintain high professional and ethical standards in all client interactions. Qualifications Strong litigation skills, including legal research, drafting motions and pleadings, and managing discovery. Experience developing case strategy and providing business-oriented legal advice to clients. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including the ability to present arguments clearly to courts and clients. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor junior team members and work effectively in cross-functional teams. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the Arizona state bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).
