Registered Nurse (RN) - OR General Surgery

Location & Shift Windham Community Memorial (10183). On call required. Responsibilities Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence‑based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The nurse applies the nursing process to develop a plan of care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family. Qualifications Current Connecticut RN licensure and graduate of an accredited nursing program. Working knowledge of the nursing process and customer service principles. Acute‑care hospital experience preferred. IV skill and national specialty certification preferred. Secondary language skills preferred. Licensure & Certification BLS certification (or completion within the first three months). ACLS required for Emergency Department, CCU, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endoscopy; strongly recommended for cross‑trained staff. NNR required for Obstetrics. #J-18808-Ljbffr Windham Hospital
