Pay Grade 12 DAG I: Annual salary $79,508.00 / min $87,458.00 / max Pay Grade 14 DAG II: Salary Range $92,259/min $96,760/max Pay Grade 16 DAG III: Salary Range $101,898/min $104,137/max Pay Grade 18 DAG IV: Salary Range $112,013/min $117,440/max Pay Grade 20 DAG V: Salary Range $125,885/min $135,154/max Essential Functions The Assistant Unit Head will serve with two other AUHs in managing the New Castle County Felony Trial Unit, which consists of 15 Deputy Attorneys General, six Legal Assistants, and six Legal Administrative Specialists. The unit prosecutes all felonies that occur in New Castle County except for homicides, sex offenses, and domestic violence related cases. The AUH must maintain strong working relationships with police agencies in New Castle County, the courts, and the defense bar. Responsibilities include mentoring and training staff, overseeing unit operations, conducting managerial tasks, observing trials to provide feedback, and managing a personal caseload while coordinating with other Deputy Attorneys General to try cases that proceed to trial. Job Requirements Strong leadership skills to manage staff and conduct trainings. High proficiency in criminal prosecution. Ability to evaluate cases, determine resolutions, anticipate legal issues, and conduct thorough research. Delaware Bar membership required.
