About the Position

Job Title: X-Ray Technician Profession: Radiology Specialty: X-Ray Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid state license required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: Surgery and emergency department experience required O-arm and fluoroscopy experience preferred Description: This position requires an experienced X-Ray Technician. The technician will perform various imaging procedures, including surgical and fluoroscopic procedures. The expected patient ratio is 1:1. Weekend shifts are not required, though on-call duty is necessary with a minimum of one per month. The work primarily involves patients of all ages, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates with experience in handling diverse patient diagnoses are preferred. Equipment used includes O-arm and hybrid units. The unit typically performs 150-200 exams daily on weekdays and 100-120 over the weekend. The technician must demonstrate the ability to follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions. Special skills required include proficiency in various X-Ray procedures, including abdominal, lumbar spine, and trauma imaging. Candidates should be competent in using PACS and charting systems. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities if required.
