We are proudly American!Specifically, we are seeking experience with:Leading a team responsible for building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting precision tooling used in progressive metal stamping operations.Working closely with Engineering and Production to maximize tooling performance and minimize manufacturing downtime.Ensuring production of small to large progressive tools.Machining, precision form grinding, and keeping machinery running flawlessly.Traditional, highly skilled craftsmanship to keep operations running smoothly.Our Tool Room Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and support of the tool room and press room supporting OTTO's stamping production.The Tool Room Supervisor will:Supervise die design and maintenanceWork with Pressroom to schedule production and new die tryoutsWork within our apprentice program to train tool and die apprenticesBuild, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain progressive diesUnderstanding of tool steels and production materialsThorough knowledge of tool room equipmentThorough understanding of piece part inspection to quality specificationsMust be able to work from blueprints to construct, alter or repair toolsResponsible for design and fabrications of tooling in stamping departmentsMaintain proper tooling records for preventative maintenanceAssist in the design of piece parts for manufacturabilityUnderstand operation of the pressesUnderstand the set-up of the pressesResponsible for ordering supplies for tool roomResponsible for die changeoverResponsible for quality from stamping departmentResponsible for preventative maintenance of tool room equipmentResponsible for quoting tooling costsResponsible for a clean and safe work areaAssists with other related duties as required or assignedAbout you - What you'll bring to the table:Minimum 10 years' experience in Tool and DieStamping Production experienceMinimum or 3 years as a supervisorKnowledge of progressive die designKnowledge of SPCAbility to lift and move 50 lbs. with assistance as necessaryAbility to use various inspection equipmentKnowledge of tool steels and stamping materialsMust be available for mandatory overtime or non-standard or extended work scheduleWhat OTTO offers for this specific position:The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.Target hourly hiring range: $45.00 to $65.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it's fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year.
