Responsibilities

Dental Assistant

• Assist hygienists during patient visits
• Take dental x-rays and intraoral photographs
• Review and update medical histories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Set up, break down, and sterilize operatories and instruments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

• Perform EFDA duties and restorations
• Take dental x-rays
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Support an efficient and positive patient experience
• Assist hygienists during hygiene appointments

Requirements

EFDA Applicants

• Active Pennsylvania EFDA license required

Dental Assistant Applicants

• Current Pennsylvania dental x-ray certification required

All Applicants
