Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (CMA) JOB DESCRIPTION Reports Directly to: DON Description of Position: Provides direct personal care and supervision to the residents at the home. Promotes resident well being and satisfaction through support with activities of daily living. Communicates with other family members, and other members of the team to ensure resident needs are met. Key Responsibilities: ? ? Providing help to residents with daily hygiene activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.) ? Helping residents with positioning, turning, etc. ? Lifting and/or transporting residents ? Completing rounds - assisting residents with questions or needs. ? Ensuring a clean and orderly environment ? Following appropriate documentation procedures. ? Maintaining a positive working environment. ? Promoting independence and socialization ? Cooking meals, providing snacks and drinks when needed. ? Answering alert buttons immediately ? Assisting with self medication administration using ALIS ? Administering medications as prescribed by Providers ? Meets all state Health Requirements ? Document all medication administered ? Collect and record patient vital signs appropriately 12 Month Success Tracking ? To have happy and satisfied residents and families with communication and care, based on surveys and comment cards we receive throughout the year ? Communication rating a 10 with the Manager. The rating will be based on annual evaluations. ? Keeping accurate and daily documentation of resident care provided. This will be analyzed monthly by manager. ? No complaints made to Management by families of residents. ? On time and follow policies. This will be measured by time slips, and any occurrences filed by manager.
