Network & Security Operations Analyst

Salary: $90,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a candidate with at least five years of experience in IP networks and network security, including routing and firewall operations.
• We need strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with clear communication skills for regular interaction with clients, partners, and vendors.
• The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• We expect hands-on experience troubleshooting core networking equipment such as routers, switches, and wireless systems.
• Advanced expertise with Cisco, Check Point, and Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, including configuration and troubleshooting, is essential.
• A solid understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS is required.
• We are seeking experience troubleshooting cloud networking issues in AWS and Azure environments.
• Proficiency with Linux commands and scripting is needed.
• The candidate should be skilled in packet analysis and familiar with network monitoring and management tools.
• We require the ability to produce network diagrams and technical documentation.
• Preferred qualifications include CCNP or an equivalent certification, CISSP, ITIL Foundation, and other relevant industry credentials.
• Desired experience includes scripting and automation with tools such as Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies such as AWS, Azure, and VMware is a plus.

• We support managed service clients by handling support requests and change requests.
• We diagnose and resolve complex network, system, and application issues escalated from Tier I and Tier II engineers.
• We act as an escalation point for advanced firewall, network configuration, and troubleshooting challenges.
• We troubleshoot complex switching, wireless, and routing problems across enterprise environments.
• We perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement corrective measures to reduce repeat incidents.
• We monitor network performance and system health using monitoring platforms.
• We carry out periodic audits of networks and systems to verify performance and policy compliance.
• We implement improvements and optimizations to enhance network performance.
• We help lead incident response efforts during major network outages and service disruptions.
• We collaborate with other IT teams and departments to drive resolution of complex problems.
• We prepare and maintain incident reports with detailed documentation and analysis.
• We assist with Check Point and Palo Alto firewall deployments and configuration changes.
• We may also contribute to implementation work for network and security technologies, including Check Point, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
• We mentor and train Tier I and Tier II engineers to strengthen their technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• We create and deliver training sessions on advanced troubleshooting methods and network management best practices.
• We ensure network security controls are properly in place and functioning as intended.
• We help develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• We stay current on emerging security threats and apply protective measures accordingly.
