Consign Furniture is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service & Showroom Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines customer service, sales support, clerical duties, and general showroom upkeep.

The ideal candidate is friendly and professional, comfortable communicating by phone and electronically, able to stay productive during slower periods, and willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the showroom running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions.
• Respond to customer emails and text messages professionally and promptly.
• Greet customers entering the showroom and provide friendly assistance.
• Help customers locate furniture and décor and answer questions about merchandise.
• Assist customers with purchases and process sales through our point-of-sale system.
• Explain available services, policies, delivery options, and financing options.
• Assist with scheduling deliveries, pickups, and other customer requests.
• Perform general clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
• Keep the showroom clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day.
• Straighten merchandise, replace or update price tags, and help maintain displays.
• Help identify merchandise that needs attention, cleaning, pricing updates, or repositioning.
• Assist with light cleaning and general showroom upkeep.
• Help with occasional customer load-outs when appropriate.
• Stay productive during slower periods by completing assigned showroom projects and other daily tasks.
• Work cooperatively with sales, receiving, transportation, and management.
• Perform other reasonable duties as needed to support daily store operations.

What We're Looking For

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with customers in person, over the phone, through email, and by text.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn our POS and communication systems.
• Organized and able to manage several responsibilities at once.
• Self-motivated and able to find productive work during slower periods.
• Professional, dependable, and punctual.
• Comfortable working in a retail showroom environment.
• Willing to clean, organize, move light merchandise, and handle routine tasks as part of the position.
• Previous retail, customer service, furniture, or sales experience is helpful but not required.
• Furniture and home décor knowledge is a plus.
