Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Murphysboro, Illinois, United States. Start date 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,806-$1,839 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12 Nights (7 PM–7 AM). Work setting: Critical Access Hospital with a blended Med Surg unit that includes Swing Bed and occasional PCU-level care. This is a Travel - Temporary Assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a blended Med Surg unit, caring for medically complex adults including Swing Bed and PCU-level patients
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and manage IV therapies and drips as assigned
- Develop and revise patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; coordinate with physicians, therapists, and case management for smooth transitions
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; ensure safe medication administration and adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Conduct regular rounds, respond to call lights, manage pain, mobility, wound care as needed, and participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Contribute to unit quality improvement efforts and maintain a safe, patient-centered care environment

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work night shift (7 PM–7 AM) and every other weekend/holiday
- ADN or BSN in Nursing from an accredited program
- Experience in Med Surg, Swing Bed, or PCU settings preferred; not all must-have, but relevant background is advantageous
