SFE Engineering is looking for an ASHRAE Energy Auditor to join our dedicated team in Flushing, NY. This full-time, on-site position presents an exciting opportunity to engage in energy efficiency assessments for buildings across New York City, contributing to sustainable design and planning in the architecture industry.

As an ASHRAE Energy Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating building systems, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to our clients. Your expertise will help drive energy conservation initiatives and support our mission to create environmentally friendly and efficient buildings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough energy audits for various building types in NYC
• Evaluate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for efficiency
• Identify opportunities for energy savings and sustainability improvements
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for clients
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to implement energy solutions
• Stay updated on ASHRAE standards and energy regulations
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff on energy auditing practices
• Participate in client meetings and presentations

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in energy auditing or building performance analysis
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and energy efficiency measures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in energy modeling software and tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to travel to various project sites within NYC
