Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine Nurse-Allied

Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine physician employment in New Jersey : Are you a clinician who aims to make a difference in the lives of your patients by providing quality care? TeamHealth needs someone like you! Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is seeking an experienced physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our emergency department team on a full-time basis. This role offers flexibility, strong physician collaboration, and the opportunity to practice in a busy, community-focused emergency department within a highly respected health system.

The APC will provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care to a diverse adult and pediatric population while working collaboratively with emergency medicine physicians, nursing staff, and support services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform medical screening exams, patient evaluations, and documentation in the ED
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and injuries across varying acuity levels
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and EKGs
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians
• Perform procedures appropriate to APC scope of practice (e.g., suturing, splinting, abscess I&D)
• Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up planning
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, evidence-based guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary communication to ensure safe, efficient patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• Current New Jersey license in good standing
• National board certification (NCCPA or AANP/ANCC)
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS preferred or required upon hire)
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of EM experience as an APC
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Competitive Compensation, with an estimated base salary of $75 to $85 hourly.
