# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Texas**Start Date:** September 22, 2026**Location:** San Antonio, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 12.5-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekends, 36 guaranteed hours per week, no call requirements**Highlights:**- 13- or 26-week assignment in a well-established CVICU with over 50 years of excellence in cardiovascular care- Diverse case mix including post-CABG, post-VAD, post-catheterization with cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO)- Advanced critical care environment with hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines) and ventilator management- Electronic medical record system: Meditech- Faith-based hospital with strong patient-focused care culture and team-oriented environment- Float pool participation required per facility policy**Requirements:**- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications- Demonstrated experience with hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, and ventilator management- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills- Preferred: IABP exposure, CRRT experience, and Meditech charting/order entry familiarity**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This position offers the chance to work in a renowned cardiovascular intensive care unit at a leading medical center that has been providing high-quality care for over half a century.
