Energy Efficiency Account Manager - Residential Location: Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) Phoenix Metro area to be considered Ready to make a difference? Working closely with the client and our local implementation team, you'll focus on high performance new construction practices, providing safer, more energy efficient homes, and ensuring energy grid stability across the State of Arizona.

What you will be doing:

• Conduct strategic field-based site visits with trade ally HERS Raters, Homebuilders and Developers to provide Quality Assurance / Quality Control and forecasting updates on participating residential new construction projects ensuring that the evaluation, implementation and verification of utility sponsored energy efficiency projects are successfully executed.
• Perform visual inspection of projects under construction including HVAC equipment, insulation, windows and household appliances.
• Provide program-specific guidance to assist builders, developers, architects, engineers, contractors and other trade allies in navigating utility-sponsored new construction programs. Must be able to effectively communicate to both technical trade allies and non-technical audiences.
• Provide outreach, recruitment, technical assistance and guidance to contractors, distributors and trade allies within a utility service territory
• Promote energy efficient technologies to both the residential market segment
• Interact with HERS raters, builders, and developers regarding energy efficiency best practices, building science fundamentals and recommend energy efficiency improvements.
• Perform desktop Quality Assurance / Quality Control to review and verify energy model accuracy and adherence to program standards, utilizing data collected during site visits and/or project building plans.
• Regularly review program QC findings. Based on the findings, leverage best practices and continuous improvement to implement long term solutions in partnership with the client and ICF team.
• Generate inspection reports to audit, monitor and measure performance and relevant metrics.
• Perform outreach to recruit builders and other trade allies to increase program participation.
• Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are up to 75% of the time within Phoenix Metro. (reimbursement for mileage provided)

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Energy Systems, Sustainability, or other related discipline (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
• 2+ years of work experience in residential construction, energy efficiency, sustainability, industrial equipment, HVAC and/or related experience
• Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• Able to lift boxes no heavier than 30 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, driving, walking, standing, above head arm movements

What we would like you to have (preferred qualification):

• Industry certifications including, but not limited to: RESNET-certified HERS Rater, Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Certified Energy Manager or Energy Auditor
• Expertise in single family, multifamily or C&I construction sectors
• Expertise in business management, building construction, energy resources, or energy policy
• Professional affiliations including, but not limited to: BPI, RESNET, AESP, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE
• Outreach and/or Business Development experience

Professional skills you will use:

• Investigative mindset to identify high energy load root causes
• Knowledge of residential energy-efficient building applications, renewable technologies, or high-performance construction practices and technologies
• Familiarity with energy modeling software platforms REM/Rate or Ekotrope
• Demonstrated ability to provide project leadership and meet client goals
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$60,637.00 - $103,083.00 Arizona Remote Office (AZ99)
