Position Summary The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a critical role in our customer model. The TAS drives demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular therapeutic area, engaging health‑care providers (HCPs) with a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue, label‑aligned messaging, and CE³ tools. The TAS is field‑based and serves as the primary point of contact for community‑based physicians, medical groups, office staff, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Promote approved indications of BMS products to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner. Create demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for appropriate patient use. Maintain and grow scientific expertise across all assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans. Use tools such as SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans, and provide feedback to leadership. Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved resources, present accurate data to HCPs, and conduct in‑office presentations. Organize external speaker programs and facilitate logistics. Maintain emerging data awareness and provide real‑time medical support through Medical on Call. Collaborate cross‑functionally with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience. Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing. Excellent communication of scientific or clinical data. Proven ability to build credibility with key customers and deliver strong selling performance. Experience in cardiovascular preferred. Strong account management skills and a track record of exceeding goals. Effective cross‑functional collaboration with a positive team mindset. Solid selling and promotional skills. Digital Agility Adapt and use technology in healthcare business and HCP interactions. Utilize digital channels for communication. Use CE³ and CRM tools for data entry and interaction tracking. Operate Medical on Call technology effectively. Stay current with technological advancements. Teamwork/Enterprise Mindset Strong business acumen to analyze market drivers and execute plans. Demonstrate learning agility and apply lessons to improve results. Balance individual drive with collaborative attitude. Act with integrity and good judgment per BMS policies. Driving Requirements Must have a qualified driver status: at least 21 years old, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving risk as determined by the Company. Compensation Overview Field – United States: US $124,090 – $150,370 (base). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may apply. Final compensation is determined by demonstrated experience.
