The Accountant is responsible for recording timely and accurate financial transactions for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Account Reconciliations, and Financial Statements. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys precise, methodical work within established systems and procedures, and who takes satisfaction in getting the details right every time.

What You'll Do

• Record, review, and maintain accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring adherence to close timelines.
• Assist in preparation of internal financial reporting packages.
• Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial data.
• Support audit requests and provide documentation for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Manage fixed assets and other corporate accounting schedules as applicable.
• Assist with system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or actively working toward a CPA is a plus.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Service-oriented — takes care of internal customers' needs while following company procedures.
• Detail-oriented — pays close attention to the minute details of a project or task.
• Accurate — performs work accurately and thoroughly.
• A proactive problem solver who addresses work-related issues before they escalate.
• Proficiency in Outlook and Excel, plus experience with automated accounting software; Business Central experience is a plus.

Benefits

City Wide provides competitive compensation with bonus potential - This position offers On-Target Earnings of $65,000–$75,000 (base), plus a 3% annual bonus.
