Description:
Looking for a Locum-to-Perm Hematologist Oncologist to cover needs.
Schedule is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with on-call responsibilities.
Patient contact hours are 6 per day.
Clinic days and hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The majority of coverage is outpatient.
Inpatient responsibilities are required.
Procedures or operating room days are not applicable.
Provider must be able to cover mostly on weekdays.
Telehealth services may be included in addition to inpatient duties.
The role involves patient assessments, new treatment plans, ongoing treatment plans, and changes in therapy.
Referral for ancillary services, end-of-life care, chemotherapy management, and pain management are part of the responsibilities.
Nursing support is available.
Medical imaging and lab pharmacy services are provided.
The average daily clinic volume is 10-30 patients.
The average daily hospital practice census is 10-15 patients.
Appointment length for consultations is 40 minutes and for follow-ups, it is 20 minutes.
The patient population includes Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial patients.
Electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
Provider must be willing to work on-site with both facilities.
Experience is required for this position.
