OSP Design Engineer

PTR Global

Seeking an experienced Telecommunications OSP Design Engineer to support the design and deployment of fiber optic and microwave communication networks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in outside plant fiber design, telecom infrastructure, and utility communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design aerial and underground fiber optic networks.
Engineer microwave communication systems.
Create engineering drawings using GIS and CAD tools.
Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and construction packages.
Support network upgrades and field implementation activities.
Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.

Required Skills:

Fiber OSP design and build experience.
Experience with Cisco, Nokia, and Ciena technologies.
Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and telecom inventory systems.
Understanding of telecom transport networks and IP networking.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
