This approximately 300-bed trauma facility maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support locum tenens cardiothoracic surgery coverage. The facility holds a Level 4 trauma designation and is currently experiencing a vacancy requiring coverage. On-site resources are in place to facilitate continuity of cardiothoracic surgical services throughout each assigned coverage period.

Wisconsin offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor recreation and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. The state features opportunities for hiking, exploration of natural landscapes, and visits to architectural and historical sites, including a notable estate set within the Driftless Region. Distinct regions of the state provide further variety, from northern lake and forest areas to shoreline destinations and natural cavern sites, with year-round activities including boating, fishing, biking, skiing, and access to local dining, regional food traditions, and craft beverages. Urban centers throughout the state offer botanical gardens, museums, and architectural landmarks for clinicians seeking cultural engagement during time away from clinical duties.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage on a day shift and 24-hour shift basis, with 1-2 days per week beginning at the end of October. Clinical responsibilities include vein harvesting and inpatient census management, with an anticipated inpatient volume of 2-6 patients per day and an outpatient volume of 2-15 patients per day. Call is a required component of this assignment, and clinicians must maintain on-site availability throughout each designated coverage period.
