Speech Language Pathologist

Overview School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Vernon Hills, IL. Up to $70/hour. Full-Time position for the 2026-2027 school year with West Transition Program openings and maternity leave openings for high school and transition students with Exceptional Learners Collaborative. 1.0 FTE, Monday–Friday schedule. Starting August 2026. Responsibilities Provide speech-language therapy services in a school setting. Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports. Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams. Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication. Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills. Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Qualifications Valid Illinois State SLP license (or ability to obtain). Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School SLP endorsement (or willingness to obtain). Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply. Strong communication and collaboration skills. School-based experience preferred, not required. Benefits Competitive pay (up to $70/hour).
