Assistant Coach, Women's Ice Hockey

Job Title Assistant Coach, Women's Ice Hockey Department Athletics | Ice Hockey Women Job Description Instructs and teaches athletes in fundamentals of ice hockey, coaches technique and strategy. Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, equipment, and liaises with strength and conditioning and sports marketing. Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services, ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree with a Major in education or physical education Additional Education Desired Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of ice hockey. Position requires extensive travel during recruiting process. Desired: Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations; experience working with a diverse population; 3+ years of college coaching experience; experience with XOS software desired.
