Reliability Engineering Technician I (Temp to Hire)

Tandem Diabetes Care seeks a Reliability Engineering Technician I to support design verification, mechanical testing, and system reliability activities for insulin pump devices. This is a temporary 6-month position based on-site at the Del Mar facility, working second shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, system, and reliability testing under engineering guidance
- Conduct fault isolation and troubleshooting on equipment and systems
- Write experimental summaries and technical reports documenting test results
- Maintain lab documentation, calibration records, and preventive maintenance logs
- Record and compile test data while reviewing for compliance to specifications
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures, flow diagrams, and schematics
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with test, development, manufacturing, or diagnostic equipment
- High school diploma or associate technical degree
- 1+ year experience in an engineering environment
Compensation: $22–$24 per hour
