The desired candidate would possess multi-disciplined expertise in two or more of these specialized areas and have the ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a team environment:Analog Design – small signal amplification and filtering, low noise techniquesMixed Signal Design – A/D D/A Converters, Waveform GeneratorsDigital Design: MUXs, gates, buffers, registers, ram / flash memoryEmbedded Systems: FPGAs, MPUs, SoC, Signal ProcessingMagnetics Design – Inductor, Transformer, Tuning NetworksPower Design – Filters, EMI Suppression, Overload / Short Circuit/ Stress AnalysisSimulation tools: PSpice, MatlabAcoustics: Transducer / Sensor DesignOptical: Networking, Long-haul Fiber, Repeaters, Splicing and RoutingWhat You Will DoCircuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation and design verification test.Requirements analysis and decomposition, sub-system and circuit design, modeling, simulation and design verification test.Occasional travel to supplier, integration and customer sites.Lead small teams to success managing schedule, budget, and technical execution.Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.Communicate with parties within and outside of own department. May have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.).May manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility.This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Portsmouth, RI.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior work experience or an Advanced degree and 5 years of prior work experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.Experience with development of circuit cards / modules, subsystems / assemblies, and/or test systems.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
