Special Education Teacher - Middleburg, FL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a self-contained ESE classroom setting within the Northwest region. You'll provide critical guidance and instruction to students with varying learning levels and exceptionalities, collaborating with colleagues and shaping meaningful progress for each child. This on-site position offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week at a single campus-perfect for educators committed to making a positive impact with their special education expertise.
What we're looking for:
- Active Florida ESE certification
- Current K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
- Previous experience leading a self-contained ESE classroom
- Familiarity with delivering differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Capacity to manage and document student progress and behavior effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Willingness to complete all required credentialing, including Florida school district fingerprint clearance or verification via AHCA Clearinghouse
- Readiness to participate in a virtual prescreen interview prior to placement
- Lead a self-contained ESE classroom for elementary-age students
- Plan, implement, and adapt lessons as needed based on IEPs and individual student needs
- Collaborate with support staff and administrators to maximize student outcomes
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Uphold all compliance and reporting requirements specific to special education
- Maintain a supportive, structured classroom environment tailored to diverse learning profiles
