Position Highlights - We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Postdoctoral Research Associate I in the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) "Advancing Research in Cardiovascular Health and Endometriosis Study" (ARCHES) (R01HL164715). The Postdoctoral Research Associate I, under guidance of our team of Principal and Co-Investigators, will be responsible for analyzing complex health-related data, with a focus on longitudinal data analysis, population databases, and causal inference. This project has two components:

The re-contacting of 507 Utah-based participants in the NICHD ENDO study (Research Cohort).

Analyses of medical record data from the Utah Population Data Base (Population Cohort ~3 million women).

Candidates working anywhere in the U.S. may be considered for a remote assignment. If you are selected for this position and are employed to work remotely from outside of Arizona, your overtime exemption status will depend on the laws of the state where you perform your work. For employees working outside of Arizona, you may be hired as an hourly employee in accordance with state laws. A comparable hourly rate range would be: $30.51 - $30.95. These changes would not affect the position duties as outlined. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct statistical analyses using advanced epidemiological methods and appropriate statistical software.

Interpret and summarize research findings, identify patterns, and generate actionable recommendations.

Write and prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals in public health and medicine.

Contribute to the development of research grant proposals and reports.

Present research findings at conferences and other scientific forums.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of epidemiological study design, data collection, and statistical analysis.

Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, STATA) and data management techniques.

Demonstrated experience in analyzing large epidemiological datasets.

Excellent scientific writing skills, with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD, MD, or other doctoral degree, preferably in epidemiology, public health biostatistics, or in health-related discipline from an accredited program.

The applicant will have a demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment as evidenced by at least one first author peer-reviewed publication in a scientific journal. Advanced statistical analysis skills are also required.

Compensation

The rate of pay field represents the University of Arizona's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The University considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal equity. The grade range for this position is $63,480 – $64,380.
