Job Summary

This is a 13-week contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. The role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care within a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for a diverse population, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic data, reporting changes to the appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in unit meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience with specific Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
