Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

This is a 13-week contract position.

Will work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in pediatrics to provide high-quality care in our teaching hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating neonates, infants, and pediatric patients, applying evidence-based practices in respiratory care.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing respiratory care to pediatric patients, including assessments and interventions.
• Administering treatments to manage respiratory conditions in neonates, infants, and children.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.

Required experience/certifications/licensure include:

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience required.
• RRT certification, along with BLS and PALS certifications.
• Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required; pending licenses may be considered with proof of application.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred.
• Skills in bronchoscopy, extubation, and pediatric critical care are highly desirable.
