Maintenance Manager

Our client is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a well‑established metals manufacturing facility in the local area. This individual will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, improving uptime, developing the maintenance team, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation equipment and a proven track record of leading maintenance teams within an automotive manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the plant maintenance team Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through proactive maintenance strategies Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC‑related equipment issues Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve plant performance Develop maintenance KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and outside contractors Ensure compliance with all OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards Support capital equipment installations and continuous improvement projects Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee development Qualificatio Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within automotive manufacturing. Strong experience in metals manufacturing Demonstrated success leading hourly skilled trades and maintenance personnel Strong knowledge of: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical Systems, PLC equipment. Experience implementing preventative and predictive maintenance systems Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience preferred CMMS experience strongly preferred Ideal Candidate: We're looking for a leader who: Leads from the plant floor rather than behind a desk.
