The individual in this role will provide coverage as needed for planned and unplanned staff absences, including PTO, vacation, leave of absence, and other staffing needs. Flexibility and availability to work on an as-needed basis are essential.About the Facility: University Behavioral Health of Denton is a 104-bed inpatient psychiatric facility dedicated to providing exceptional behavioral health services for adolescent and adult patients. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care through a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment. CPS Solutions-Optum has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions-Optum.Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 2:00pm.Primary Responsibilities:Processes physician drug orders including, but not limited to:order entry into dispensing computer systemappropriate product selectionlabeling and repackagingdelegating product preparation activities to pharmacy techniciansConsults with various health care professionals and provides information and guidance concerning drugs and their appropriate useComplies with departmental and hospital policies and proceduresAssumes duties of Director of Pharmacy in his/her absence to manage daily departmental activitiesParticipates in and/or provides support to hospital committees as agreed upon by committee members and the Director of Pharmacy to help establish drug-related policies, criteria, or to monitor issues related to drugs i.e.Pharmacy and Therapeutics CommitteeAssist in the preparation of periodic reports on the progress of the department for submission to the administration of the hospitalAssists the department and hospital in maintaining compliance with accreditation standardsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:ACPE - accredited PharmD degree (highly preferred) or BS of Pharmacy with recent pharmacist work experienceActive State of Texas pharmacist license in good standingProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred Qualification:Some hospital pharmacy work experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment.
