With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.ResponsibilitiesTo safely and timely move raw materials, work in process (WIP), finished goods, and scrap materials throughout the facility.To replenish materials as requested/needed using visual signals, order cards, and other replenishment systems.Perform a pre-shift inspection of material handling equipment and document issues on inspection sheet. Remove equipment from service as required.Perform a visual inspection of all incoming material and reporting quality issues to appropriate personnel.Maintain Kanbans and communicate issues to Material Purchasing Group.Participate in LEAN Manufacturing events and support LEAN Manufacturing programs.Follow all plant safety rules. Support plant goals and respect Berry values.Other activities as assigned by Supervisor or Leads.QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GEDExperience: Previous manufacturing experience required. Qualified as a Machine Operator is required. A current Berry Global forklift operator license may be required.Physical/Cognitive Requirements:Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as Company policy and procedure manuals.Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures relative to inventory and purchasing functions.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of materials handling issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Demonstration of leadership ability and an understanding of the basics of extrusion and/or conversion.Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity, the ability to distinguish letters, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and the use of office equipment.
