About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, CPI Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - Ability to take insulin and heparin drips Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may potentially result in cancellation and DNR. Must be able to work holidays. There is a possibility of taking care of COVID patients. The individual will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team. Charge role is required for night travelers. Target ratios are 1:6. 36 or 48 hours accepted. If working 48 hours, no overtime is billed until after 48 hours. This unit may float to similar units and alternate care locations. The traveler will be assigned to every other weekend. Daily census is approximately 43. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with general med/surg cases. Special procedures include insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, high flow oxygen, and limited short-term BiPap with respiratory support. No additional training is needed for short-term BiPap. Travelers and staff are required to attend monthly team meetings. All travelers and staff must adhere to the call-off policy, which is strongly enforced. Travelers must possess a teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. Further, candidates must be open to floating within their job description.
