Patient Admin Specialist

To be considered for this role, you must: Be authorized to work in the United States Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position Are you a highly organized and empathetic individual with a passion for healthcare administration? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a bustling outpatient clinical setting, where you will be the welcoming face and efficient backbone of daily operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure a seamless experience for patients from their initial contact through their appointments, directly contributing to the efficiency and positive atmosphere of the clinic. Your work will have a tangible impact, helping patients navigate their care journey with ease and supporting medical providers in delivering top‑tier service. What You Will Do: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations, check‑ins, and check‑outs. Warmly greet and assist patients with inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules. Efficiently manage a multi‑line phone system, screening and routing calls, and taking messages for clinical staff and physicians. Ensure all necessary verifications and authorizations are complete before patients see their providers. Collaborate with providers to align on scheduling preferences and respond effectively to urgent patient needs. Provide essential patient support using available reference documents and tools. Perform various administrative tasks, including maintaining information and paging directory databases, and processing internal forms. Utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records systems proficiently to accomplish assigned tasks. Consistently meet or exceed organizational and departmental service standards. Address non‑clinical patient inquiries and messages, escalating complex issues as appropriate. Manage and distribute faxes, mail, and clinic‑specific documentation. Must‑Have Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Proficiency in medical terminology. Familiarity with computer systems and software used in administrative functions. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for a professional healthcare setting. Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service, solve problems efficiently, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Working knowledge of Windows‑based office software, computers, and operating systems. Adept at adjusting communication styles to suit the needs and understanding of diverse individuals. Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35.81 - $38.96 an hour.
