Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Employment Details Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Staff Responsibilities The RN is a member of the Patient Care Services Team and is responsible for the satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team. The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment and collaborating with all team members. The RN establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers. The RN delegates, assesses, provides, and evaluates patient care, and provides and delegates patient care activities to team members. The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge. The RN reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision‑making activities. Qualifications Graduation from a school of nursing (BSN preferred). Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
