About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Required to work as an RN in Tennessee Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med-Surg experience Description: Rapid response required: must be available to start within 7-10 days from offer acceptance. All travelers must have required certifications prior to start. Clinical staff on assignment in the state must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to start date. Results are required prior to start. Position involves working in a medical-surgical setting with a patient population that includes geriatric and adult patients, with minimal pediatric cases. The unit typically has 19 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. Staff may be floated to various departments depending on staffing needs. Weekend rotation will occur every other weekend unless additional coverage is needed. Call requirements may be applicable based on census. Common diagnoses treated include a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism in their role. Required education includes a degree and licensure appropriate for the nursing profession. Please dress in approved scrub colors, avoiding prints.
