Job Title: Junior Fire Sprinkler Installer Job Description

The Junior Fire Sprinkler Installer supports the installation of fire sprinkler systems, working with various types of piping and sprinkler components to help deliver safe and reliable fire protection solutions on construction and plumbing projects.

• Assist with the installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.
• Work with sprinkler pipe, grooved pipe, screwed pipe, and cast iron pipe to install main lines and branch lines according to project specifications.
• Install sprinkler heads accurately and securely to ensure proper system performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand layout, pipe routing, and installation requirements.
• Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installation and construction activities.
• Support plumbing-related tasks associated with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines while working on job sites.
• Collaborate with senior installers and construction teams to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Travel to various job sites within the designated work areas as required.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints related to fire sprinkler and piping layouts.
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with installation work in construction or plumbing environments.
• Competence in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Understanding of basic plumbing and construction practices.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work full-time hours with some overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Interest in developing a career in fire protection and sprinkler installation.
• Willingness to learn from experienced installers and take direction on job sites.
• Reliability and punctuality for early morning start times.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a construction team.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and coworkers.
• Physical ability to perform construction tasks, including standing, lifting, and working with tools for extended periods.

This role is based on job sites across Long Island, primarily in Suffolk and Nassau counties. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some overtime available depending on project needs. Work takes place in active construction and plumbing environments, using a variety of power tools and hand tools to install sprinkler piping and related components. The position requires working both indoors and outdoors, navigating typical construction site conditions, and wearing appropriate work attire and safety gear in compliance with OSHA standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brentwood, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Brentwood,NY.
