Weekend and on call rotation. Average 2 holidays per year.**About the Position**The Radiography Technologist supports the Reid Health Mission, Vision, Values, and Key Service Behaviors. The Radiography Technologist performs radiographic diagnostic imaging examinations on patients per physician/provider orders with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. **Overview of Responsibilities** * Competently operates radiographic equipment* Accurately evaluates requests for radiographic procedures* Obtains patient history and symptoms* Performs radiographic procedures per provider orders* Provides care appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patients served* Provides explanation and instruction to patients regarding radiographic procedures* Demonstrates effective communication with patients and families* Accurately performs appropriate documentation* Follows radiation safety policies and guidelines* Takes responsibility for personal radiation safety and exposure monitoring* Appropriately uses radiation protection devices* Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities* Assists in the clinical instruction of radiography studentsThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management deems necessary. **Education & Experience*** Graduate of an approved, 24-month program in Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)* Additional radiology education would be nice to have.* educational program would be nice to have.* A minimum of 2 years in an accredited educational program* Additional experience as a licensed Radiography Technologist after completing the **Licensure & Certification*** Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Indiana Department of Health* Certification and Registry in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT.* Current in BLS certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
