About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Market Data Engineering for Electronic Trading to lead the transformation of its market data platform. This pivotal role involves owning the vision and evolution of a large-scale market data system, leading the design and optimization of ultra-low-latency systems, and driving greenfield initiatives to enhance performance and scalability. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of a major technology modernization effort, partnering with trading, quantitative, and engineering teams to influence architecture, technology direction, and long-term platform strategy. A hands-on approach is essential, as is the ability to mentor a team of skilled engineers and evaluate emerging technologies in low-latency infrastructure, networking, and hardware acceleration. Applicants for this role should have a minimum of 10 years' experience, with a focus on modern C++ and low-latency systems engineering. Strong expertise in market data platforms, feed handlers, exchange connectivity, and market data distribution is required, along with a deep understanding of equities market structure and electronic trading environments.
