Collections Representative
We are seeking an experienced Collections Representative to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This position is responsible for contacting borrowers and co-makers regarding delinquent accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, maintaining detailed collection records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and collection procedures.
Collections Representative Job Details:
Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule:
Monday: 1:00pm - 9:00pm
Tuesday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
Two Saturdays per Month: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Collections Representative Job Description:
Contact students and co-makers by telephone to determine reasons for delinquent payments and secure payment arrangements. Explain the terms and conditions of credit agreements and supporting documents to students and co-makers. Document customer financial information and collection activities accurately. Maintain and update collection systems with action codes, payment commitments, and collection outcomes.
Collections Representative Job Requirements:
2-3 years of recent third-party collections experience required Ability to read, interpret, and explain financial aid documents and related correspondence Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Excel assessment required)
