Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Baltimore, MD | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric Medical-Surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, maintaining a 1:5 patient ratio Perform telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management, including on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring Participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activations as needed Manage central lines, peripheral lines, PICC lines, blood product administration, heparin protocols, and non-titratable cardiac drips Provide pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care; manage feeding tubes, PCAs, surgical drains, tracheostomies, wound care, and wound vacs Float within scope of care to meet unit needs as required; complete a pass/fail telemetry interpretation exam during orientation Required Qualifications Valid Maryland RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required ACLS and BLS certifications required Strong telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience required Experience with Rapid Response/Code Team, pre/post cardiac catheterization, heparin protocols, and non-titratable cardiac drips required Local candidates are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a high-acuity Med-Surg/Telemetry environment serving a diverse adult and geriatric patient population Structured orientation program of approximately 24 hours, including dedicated on-unit orientation days, designed to set clinicians up for success Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792528.
