This role will communicate with brokers and underwriters to ensure premium is paid timely. The Collections Specialist II will report on their outstanding receivables and follow company procedures in pursuing past due balances.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and pursue outstanding accounts receivableDocument unapplied cash transactionsAnalyze broker / insured accountsIssue Notice of Cancellation and Notice of RescissionRespond to various requests from brokers, underwriters and managementIssue various receivable reportsEnsure compliance with corporate policiesPerform special projects as requiredProvide back-up support as neededParticipate in Receivable related meetingsParticipate and support any system testing and or process enhancementsRequirements3 – 5 years of experienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldProficient in ExcelExperience with Workday is preferredTeam PlayerStrong Analytical SkillsMust be able to work with minimal supervisionMust be proactive in resolving problemsStrong attention to detail and accuracyStarr is an equal opportunity employer, which means we'll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
