Position Title Dishwasher / Dietary Aide Pay : Depending on Experience Starts at $13.00 Schedule : Open Availability including holidays and weekends Position Summary The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and kitchen equipment in the hospital dietary department. This position supports food service operations by ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, sinks, walls, and work areas.
• Dispose of trash and recycling according to hospital procedures.
• Restock clean dishes and supplies in designated areas.
• Assist dietary staff with basic food service tasks as needed.
• Follow all hospital safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with health department and hospital standards.
• Support kitchen staff during meal service and high-volume periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous dishwashing or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Reliable attendance and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in hot, wet, and humid conditions.
• Manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment safely.
