Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Orange, MA. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, commissioning, and maintaining water control gates, valves, and associated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems at customer sites throughout the United States. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and comfortable traveling extensively while working both independently and alongside engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain water control gates, valves, actuators, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, commissioning, calibration, and operational testing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams to resolve field issues and improve equipment performance.
• Provide technical support and customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Complete detailed service reports, documentation, and recommendations after each service visit.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures while working in industrial and outdoor environments.
• Assist with equipment assembly and testing at the manufacturing facility when not traveling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or Technical Certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of field service, industrial maintenance, or equipment repair experience .
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems .
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, valves, actuators, pumps, or similar systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Passport.
