About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Vice President of Operations to spearhead the performance, people, and operational strategy for its U.S. portfolio of student housing communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational performance of the portfolio, driving the achievement of financial targets, and maintaining executive visibility into portfolio performance and market trends. This role also involves leading and developing a high-performing team, ensuring operational excellence, and championing a culture of ownership and disciplined execution. The EVP will be a key member of the U.S. executive leadership team, contributing to broader company strategy and decision-making, and will be expected to represent the company with confidence and credibility in various external forums. Applicants for the EVP of Operations role at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' progressive leadership experience in a related real estate operating environment, with a strong background in financial management, P&L, budgeting, and revenue strategy. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in third-party property management, developing successful client relationships, and improving the performance of underperforming assets. The ideal candidate will have experience in scaling operating platforms, leading through significant change, and a strong executive presence. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent executive experience is required, and the ability to travel extensively is a must. Preferred experience includes leadership in a similar-sized student housing portfolio, work with institutional partners, and a background in global organizations.
