Staff Product Manager

Location: San Jose, California, United States Job Summary Supermicro is seeking a passionate, energetic Hardware Product Management Director who can drive the development and lifecycle management of industry‑leading AI/HPC/Enterprise server products. This role is perfect for a technology leader with a passion for AI, machine learning, high‑performance computing (HPC), GPU‑accelerated workloads and Enterprise who excels at bridging technology, business strategy, and customer success. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Drive product management and development cycles, from concept through launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Collaborate with Engineering and Product Managers at Supermicro to develop a strategic roadmap to make Supermicro system products a market leading offering for new workloads and innovative solutions. Aggressively evangelize and position AI compute servers and AI infrastructure, with the goal of top‑line growth in relevant vertical market segments and geographical regions. Develop go‑to‑market strategies, including pricing, packaging, and messaging. Support sales enablement with product training, collateral and technical documentation. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer briefings as a subject matter expert. Leverage strong technical background to create technical product requirements for AI factories/cloud/data center infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements, industry trends and business requirements. Work closely with product development, marketing, service, and sales teams to influence the product and service portfolios for competitive advantage and incremental value to our customers. Engage with customers at various levels including senior executives, engineering, and product marketing to convey our capabilities and vision, and understand their challenges and requirements. Manage critical issues and provide solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience. 8-15 years of hands‑on experience in system/server architecture. Demonstrated experience driving product management and development cycles, from concept through launch. Strong strategic planning skills and ability to develop roadmaps for product success. Experience in evangelizing and positioning AI compute servers and AI infrastructure with a focus on vertical market segments. Proven ability to develop go‑to‑market strategies, including pricing, packaging and messaging. Experience supporting sales enablement through product training, collateral and technical documentation. Ability to represent the company at industry events, conferences and customer briefings as a subject matter expert. Strong technical background to create product requirements for AI factories, cloud, and data‑center infrastructure solutions. Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams such as product development, marketing, service and sales. Strong communication and customer engagement skills at senior executive level. Capability to manage critical issues and provide effective solutions. Compensation Salary Range: $185,000 - $211,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
