Staff Accountant/Payroll AccountantPrimary duties include preparation of retroactive payroll adjusting journal entries required due to conversion of HCM system. For each on cycle and off cycle payroll, this entails preparing an analysis, compiling the underlying details of resulting variances, and determining whether an adjustment is necessary based on understanding of payroll activity and the cause of the variances. Prepare work papers and analyses in a clear and concise manner in accordance with management and audit requirements. Execute duties in compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Adhere to company, department, and team policies and procedures. Interact effectively with cross-functional groups including payroll processing, payroll tax, or payroll technology. Demonstrate strong analytical abilities with advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups. 3 - 5 years of experience.
