Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring for a Travel Registered Nurse on a Cardiac Med-Tele Unit!

Location: Suffolk, VA

Work Shift: Third (Nights)

Overview:

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. 2 South also cares for pre/post catheterization, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases. This 25-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:6 with assistance of Patient Care Techs. The unit cares for patients with acuity higher than a typical medical-surgical unit. 2 South Acute Cardiac is also preparing for a transition to a Cardiac PCU step-down before year's end, making it an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. Education:

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure:

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale

Experience:

• Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
