Production Technician

MadgeTech is seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the return of merchandise authorizations, ensuring all returned products are thoroughly inspected, tested, and processed according to company policies and procedures. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and group leader effectively.

Duties

• Perform detailed inspections and functional tests on returned data loggers to identify issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems as applicable.
• Maintain accurate records of all RMA transactions.
• Generate detailed reports on findings.
• Update and maintain the RMA database with status and resolution
• Identify trends and common issues in returned products.
• Work with Quality and Production teams to recommend improvements.
• Ensure DBA has updated any information about repair and any parts needed.
• All other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a technical support or repair role, preferably in the electronics or data logging industry.
• Technical Skills
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electronic devices.
• Knowledge of data logging equipment and software.
• Familiarity with RMA processes and documentation.
• Soft Skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and handle electronic equipment.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends if needed.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
