Certified Medical AssistantThe Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will work in a fast-paced clinical setting supporting the medical team with patient intakes and inquiries, records maintenance and basic patient screenings. In addition to basic Medical Office Administration duties, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will assist with injections, blood draws, and assisting a NP or PA in patient procedures.This is a full-time Monday-Friday 5:00 am - 5:00 pm or 5:00pm - 5:00am position located at one of our industrial client sites in the Holly Springs, NC area. Bilingual candidates encouraged. DOT drug screening experience a plus!Key ResponsibilitiesMake appointments for the personnel attending the clinicRegister personnel visiting the facility for consultationPrepare required filesManage and control the completion and filing of medical recordsPrepared correspondence and reportsMaintain training recordsVerifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit; Updates patients' filesPrepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary.Assist in injury careAssist practitioners during medical examinationsExplain medical testing to patientsTakes patient vitalsPerforms phlebotomy service and gives injections.Handle any necessary injections (will be trained)Conduct EKG'sKeeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.Sterilize medical instruments and equipmentEnters patient data into EMR and assist NP/Paramedics onsite with Medical Record Keeping & Data EntryAbout YouRequired Skills and KnowledgeHigh school diploma or equivalentMedical Assistant certificate or diploma requiredRequired Competencies• Basic computer, clerical, phone etiquette and customer service skills.• Must be dependable and reliable• Teamwork is a MUST• Ability to multitask and follow instructions in a fast paced environment• Must be able to pass a DISA Drug Screen and Background CheckRequired Work Experience2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant requiredDOT drug screen trained (preferred)Occupational Medicine experience (preferred)Experience completing drug & alcohol testing (preferred)Breath Alcohol Testing and Urine Specimen Collector (can provide training)Bilingual in English and Spanish (an asset)Required Qualifications• Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalentBenefitsPosition is benefits and overtime eligible.By joining International SOS, you will contribute to a global network dedicated to protecting people and organisations.
