Head of Artificial Intelligence

A leading global organization is looking to add a leader to their AI team to drive the development and execution of its external AI innovation ecosystem. This role will focus on identifying, evaluating, and accelerating high-impact AI opportunities through partnerships with cutting‑edge vendors, research institutions, and emerging technology providers. You will play a critical role in building an innovation pipeline, transforming emerging AI capabilities into practical solutions, and ensuring alignment with broader strategic priorities. The ideal candidate brings a blend of commercial acumen, technical curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, experimental environment. Key Responsibilities AI Product Development: Convert early‑stage AI concepts and prototypes (e.g., agent‑based solutions) into scalable, enterprise‑ready products Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with data, engineering, and infrastructure teams to integrate external AI solutions into internal systems Innovation Sourcing: Continuously identify and evaluate emerging technologies, startups, and vendors aligned with strategic goals Ecosystem & Vendor Management: Build and manage relationships across the AI ecosystem, ensuring strong collaboration models and outcomes Commercial Oversight: Oversee vendor engagements, including budgeting, contracts, SLAs, and performance tracking to ensure delivery and value Required Experience & Skills Enterprise Integration & Change Leadership: Proven ability to implement external AI solutions into business workflows while managing stakeholders and driving adoption AI Risk, Compliance & Governance: Experience working with responsible AI frameworks, data privacy, model risk, and regulatory considerations Commercial & Vendor Expertise: Strong track record in negotiating agreements, managing partnerships, and optimizing vendor performance Market & Technology Awareness: Deep understanding of AI trends, with experience building structured innovation pipelines Program Execution: Demonstrated ability to launch, scale, and operationalize AI initiatives from pilot through to production Technical & Business Fluency: Familiarity with modern AI ecosystems (e.g., LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases), model evaluation methodologies, and pricing models #J-18808-Ljbffr H&CO
