Veterinary Technician

Overview CityVet is looking for Veterinary Technicians to join our team. A Veterinary Technician Assistant will be considered with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Responsibilities Maintain excellent patient care and support operational productivity by helping the Veterinarian leverage their time and efforts to meet the needs of clients and patients. Relieve the Veterinarian from technical work and administrative detail to improve daily practice efficiency. Facilitate and streamline communication from the operating room to front office staff and the client. Assist Veterinarians by preparing patients for surgery (administer anesthesia, take X-rays, gather lab specimens), monitor patients post-op, and restrain animals during exams. Obtain samples (stool, blood, and other specimens) for testing and help interpret results. Administer medications, vaccines, or other medications as prescribed by the DVM, ensuring accurate dosages. Communicate with clients to obtain medical information and provide instructions on care under the veterinarian’s plan of care. Assist the Client Service Specialist team when needed.
